Chris Francis Flettre, 71, of York, S.C., and formerly of Mooresville, N.C., passed away on Wednesday, March 19, 2025.

He was born on May 2, 1953, in Russell, Kan., to the late Irvin and Francis Cunningham Flettre. Chris was a Vietnam veteran who served proudly in the U.S. Army. He retired from the U.S. Postal Service. Chris loved producing computer graphics and was a huge computer nerd. He loved his kittens, especially his favorite Ziggy.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Timothy Flettre, Robert Flettre, and Kevin Flettre.

Chris is survived by his wife, Debi; daughters, Pamela F. Wheeler (Josh), Dede F. Sliverman (Eddie); stepmother, Agnes Krauter; brothers, Nelson Flettre, Kim Flettre (Cindy), Randy Flettre (Allen), Marvin Flettre (Deb), and Jeff Flettre (Missy); sisters, DebraLee Kriesel (Eugene), Vicki Petroski (Troy), and Paula Flettre; grandchildren, Ciera Wages, Ashlynn Stevens (Chas), Breanna, Angel Sainsbury (Hunter), Brandon Flettre, Erin M. Flettre, and Tenyshia Vasey; 12 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service with military honors will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 29, at the Chapel of Cavin-Cook Funeral Home. The family will receive friends following the service.
