Christen Tymere Millsaps, 21, was born in Iredell County, N.C., on August 9, 2003, to Gilbert Napolean Millsaps III and Damesha Aunish Allison. He entered into eternal rest on Friday, April 11, 2025, at his home in Statesville.

Christen graduated from Statesville High School in 2021 and loved watching basketball, football, and different animated movies. He was loved by his family and cared for by his caregivers and special aunts and uncles, Paula Tucker, Pam Roseboro, Terrance Roseboro and Amie Roseboro. He will be truly missed. He was raised and loved by his great grandmother, Edith Roseboro of the home.

He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Wilma Irene Bryant; his grandfather, Gilbert Millsaps; and his great grandparents, Helen Millsaps and Gilbert Millsaps Sr.

He leaves to cherish the memory of his life his great grandmother, Edith Roseboro of the home; his parents, Gilbert Napolean Millsaps III and Damesha Aunish Allison; his grandmother, Gwendolyn Roseboro; his brothers and sisters, Untre Millsaps, D’Masjiae Allison, and Serenity Allison, all of Statesville, Nevasia Millsaps of Mocksville, and Giaona Millsaps of Statesville; his grandparents, Ricky Allison of Charlotte; his Papa, James “Bud” Thomas; his nephew, Keelan Trent of South Carolina; uncles, Ashley Millsaps of Statesville and Malik Wilson of Salisbury; his great uncles, David Powell and David Perry, both of Statesville, Terry (Marsha) Millsaps of Hickory, and Charles (Joni) Bailey of Statesville; and a host of other cousins, relatives and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be conducted on Friday, April 18, 2025, at 1 p.m. at Rutledge and Bigham Mortuary. Elder Wade Ikard will officiate, and Minister Phyllis Duren will eulogize. Burial will follow in the Belmont Cemetery.

Members fo the family will receive friends from 12 until 1 p.m., but will assemble at the residence at other times.
