Constance “Connie” Elaine Templeton Vincent, 72, of Denver, N.C., passed away Friday, January 17, 2025, at the Levine and Dickson Hospice House in Huntersville, N.C.
Connie was born April 16, 1952, to the late Frank Templeton and Sarah Madeleen Helms Templeton. She was married to the late George Paul Vincent, for 32 years.
She is survived by her son, Chadwick “Chad” Garrett Bowles and partner, Hal; sisters, Velma “Cissy” Willis and husband, Gene, and Cynthia “Cyndi” Bryson, both of Mooresville; and sister-in-law, Louise Templeton of Bunnlevel, N.C. She also leaves three nephews, Joshua Willis, Jordan Willis and wife Brittany, and Todd Willis and wife Anna; nieces, Stevie Trista Bryson and Hannah Camille Bryson; special great niece, Emma Grace Willis; and special great nephews, James Logan Willis and Luke Henry Willis.
Connie was a member of Unity Presbyterian Church in Denver, N.C. She was a member and treasurer of the Unity Women’s Group. She was a member of various Bible study groups, the summer Bible school program, and “Special Friends Coordinator” of the women of the church.
Connie graduated from Mooresville Senior High School in 1971. She was part of various school clubs, excelled in her studies, and graduated with honors. She furthered her education and received a bachelor’s degree from Montreat College. Connie was a Vice President at Bank of America, Charlotte, N.C., before her retirement.
Connie enjoyed lots of hobbies. She enjoyed collecting Barbies, both special editions and regular. She loved to read and watch movies and had a great movie collection. She was a member of the Red Hat Society. She enjoyed traveling with her favorite cousin, David Lyles. Connie loved listening to gospel and country music. She loved going to productions at the Blumenthal Theater. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family. One of her favorite things to do was to go for walks with her “four-footed” friend and companion, Bear, who preceded her in death just a few short months ago.
Special thanks to Chaplain Henry Haynes for his prayers and visits during Connie’s hospitalization. Also, to Carolyn Washum and Gail Fechtmeister and husband for their visits. Special thanks to her friends and neighbors, Dana Dehart for all of her help and visits, and to Bill Neil for always being there to help with whatever Connie needed.
A Celebration of Connie’s Life will be held on Saturday, January 25, at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Cavin-Cook Funeral Home. Visitation for family and friends will be one hour prior to the service from 1 to 2 p.m., also at the funeral home. Burial will follow the service in Glenwood Memorial Park, Mooresville.
