Danette “Dee” Settlemyre Bumgarner, 62, of Mooresville, N.C., passed away on Friday, February 7, 2025, at the S. Mitchell Mack Hospice House in Mooresville.

She was born on December 26, 1962, in Iredell County, N.C., to the late Tommy and Karen Ferrell Settlemyre. Dee was a 1981 graduate of Mooresville High School. She was employed with General Mirco Circuits. She loved music, photography, nature, Outer Banks, and NASCAR, but mostly she loved being a Mimi to her adored grandson, Silas.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Ricky L. Settlemyre.

She is survived by her husband, W.D. Bumgarner; daughter, Lindsey Wright; grandsons, Silas and Mason Wright; great grandson, Lucas Wright; sister, Billie Jean Settlemyre; special friend, Robin M. Griffis and husband Kevin; and her loved fur baby, Chrissy Cat.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, February 16, from 3 to 4 p.m. with a service following at 4 p.m. at the Chapel of Cavin-Cook Funeral Home with Rev. Hannah Barlow officiating.
