Donald Webster Galliher Jr., lovingly called Donnie or Uncle, passed away peacefully at his home on March 19, 2025.

He was born on June 12, 1956, to the late Donald W. Galliher Sr. and Doris Jean Cook Galliher in Iredell County. He was a graduate of South Iredell High School. He attended N.C. State University for Computer Science and was a software architect for 47 years.

Donnie had a giving heart and saw the good in everyone he met. He cared for people with an open heart. He had a love for Hawaii and the beauty it brought to the world. He expressed his love for the beauty in the world through his stained-glass artwork, creating beautiful, intricate pieces for those he loved. He also enjoyed cooking and working with new flavor combinations. He could talk books and movies all day. He was the “tech guru” of the family by being up to date on all the latest technology. His most cherished role was being an Uncle.

Those left to cherish his memory are his sister Kathy Swanson (Rocky); his nieces Brittany Swanson (Jerry Benfield) and Megan Swanson Heilemann (Matt); his great-niece Avery McGrath; and his great-nephews Blaine Swanson and Crew Heilemann; and many cousins and close friends.

Donnie was deeply loved by all who knew him. May his memory bring comfort to those lives he touched. His life made the world a better place!

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

Troutman Funeral Home is honored to serve the Galliher family.
