Evelyn Lee Keever Summers, 81, of Statesville, N.C., passed away Sunday, April 20, 2025, at her residence.

Evelyn was born on March 29, 1944, in Catawba County to the late Ivey Lee Keever and Catherine Lineberger Keever. She was a 1962 graduate of St. Stephens High School in Hickory and was retired from Catawba Sox Hosiery in Newton. She was a member of Springs Road Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Paul Summers; brother, Robert Lawrence Keever; and sister, Delores Huffman.

Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Daniel “Dan” Wayne Summers (Eunice) of Loganville, Ga.; grandchildren, Emily Daniela Summers and Sabrina Isabel Summers, also of Loganville; and sister, Frances Woody of Catawba.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, May 2, in the Troutman Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. John Parks officiating. Burial will follow at Iredell Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends prior to the service from 1 until 2 p.m.

Evelyn will be missed by many.
