Mrs. Gerry Ann Gregory, a devoted mother and nurturing homemaker, quietly passed away on February 12, 2025, at Mission Hospital in Asheville, N.C. Born on December 8, 1932, in Cayce, S.C., she was the cherished daughter of the late Benjamin Hammond and Mary Campbell Hammond.
Gerry dedicated her life to raising her children and caring for her family, creating a warm and loving home filled with kindness and support.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert Lewis Gregory, along with her sons, William Ryan Gregory of Murrells Inlet, S.C., and Robert L. Gregory of Roswell, Ga. She also mourned the loss of her sister, Bennie F. Williams of Sanford, N.C.
She is survived by her daughter, Sharon Gregory of Highlands, N.C.; daughters-in-law, Patricia Gregory of Murrells Inlet, S.C., and Ophelia Gregory of Statesville, N.C.; as well as her grandson, Marc (Laurel) Gregory of Concord, N.C.
Reflecting on her life, Gerry’s family invites friends and loved ones to celebrate her legacy of love and devotion. Services will be held at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Mooresville on February 22, 2025, at 1 p.m. Prior to the service, the family will welcome guests for visitation from 12 to 12:45 p.m. at the St. Mark’s Family Life Center. Following the service, Gerry will be laid to rest at Glenwood Memorial Park, where she will be honored by her surviving nieces, nephews, and their spouses as honorary pallbearers.
