It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of James (Camel) Barrett of Terrell, N.C., on April 8, 2025. He passed away peacefully surrounded by his wife Cheri and other family members and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Vera Roberts.

He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Cheri; four brothers; and numerous nieces and nephews.

There will be no service, but a celebration of life will be held by his family on a date and place to be determined.
