Mr. John Lewis Leach, 67, passed away on Sunday, February 23, 2025, at the Gordon Hospice House in Statesville, N.C. He was born in Iredell County on August 18, 1957, and was the son of Cornell Leach Sr. and Mary Katherine Moss Leach.

He was married to Della Cherry Leach, who survives.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Carolyn Neal, and two brothers, Ervin Leach and Jerry Leach.

He attended South Rowan High School and was a member of New Faith Trinity Church of Statesville. He loved cooking, the Denver Broncos and the Tar Heels.

In addition to his wife, he leaves to cherish the memory of his life four daughters, Tina Moore of Statesville, Lakisha Weeks of Kannapolis, Tinka Leach of Salisbury and Marquita McNeely of Mooresville; one brother, David Leach of Troutman; one sister, willie Mae Roseman (Bishop Gene) of Salisbury; and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Celebration of Life Services will be conducted Sunday, March 2, 2025, at 1 p.m. at Rutledge and Bigham Funeral Home. Reverend Shirley Blackwell, Pastor of New Faith Trinity, will officiate.
