Karl T. Wrenn, 58, of Statesville, N.C., passed away on Saturday, February 15, 2025, at Novant Presbyterian Hospital in Charlotte.
He was born November 1, 1966, in Roxboro, N.C., to Mildred Pulliam Wrenn and the late S.T. Wrenn. Karl worked as a security guard for Guard Smart. He was a member of Central United Methodist Church and former member of Meherrin Baptist Church in Murfreesboro, N.C.. Karl enjoyed fishing, hunting, and traveling.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Roger Dumond.
Karl is survived by his wife, Melisa Dumond; mother, Mildred Wrenn; daughter, Victoria Wrenn; mother and father-in-law, Cheryl and Ron Johnson; mother-in-law, Pamela Dumond; brothers, Kevin Wrenn and Kenneth Wrenn (Karen); aunt and uncle, Yolanda and Frank Day; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation for family and friends will be on Tuesday, February 18, from 4 to 6 p.m. at Cavin-Cook Funeral Home. Services will be at 6 p.m. in the Chapel of Cavin-Cook Funeral Home with Rev. Anita Sain officiating.
There will also be a visitation on Sunday, February 23, from 2 to 3 p.m. at Merherrin Baptist Church in Murfreesboro, N.C., with a service at 3 p.m. at the church. Burial will follow the service in the church cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to American Diabetes Foundation, 1300 Baxter Street, Suite 150, Charlotte, NC 28204, or a charity of donor’s choice.
