Kenneth “Taylor” Overcash, 73, of Statesville, N.C., passed away March 11, 2025. He was born in Iredell County on March 7, 1952, to Paul and Alma Overcash.

Taylor enjoyed being a Pappy to his grandkids, fishing, cooking, taking care of his dogs, and fixing things. He loved those close to him endlessly.

He was employed at Zimmer for 30 years, and at Lowe’s for almost 10.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Robert, W.T., and Donnie; and his beloved wife of 48 years, Donna “Bo” Overcash.

He is survived by his special friend of five years, Nancy Hill; his sons, Kenny Overcash, Bobby (Tonya) Overcash, and Keith (Cheyenne) Overcash; his nephew, Mark Overcash; and his grandchildren, Zack, Matthew, and Cloie. He also leaves behind his sweet pup Ziva, as well as countless family members and friends for whom he cared dearly.

Services to honor Taylor’s life will be held at Morning Star Baptist Church, 175 Young Mountain Road, Cleveland, N.C., on Saturday, March 15, at 11 am
