It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Linda Price Souther, who departed this life on April 1, 2025, at Atrium Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center following a brief illness. Born on July 26, 1944, in Iredell County, N.C., Linda lived a life filled with love, nurturing the bonds of family and community.

Linda enjoyed a fulfilling career, having retired from Deal Rite Feeds, where she made numerous contributions and lasting friendships. An alumnus of Celeste Henkel School and Mitchell Community College, she took pride in her education, which enriched her life and the lives of those around her.

A member of Front Street Baptist Church, Linda’s faith was an integral part of her life. She found joy in simple pleasures, including tending to her flowers, feeding birds, and delighting in the sight of hummingbirds. Her warm spirit connected her to nature and brought beauty into the lives of those around her.

Linda’s true legacy lies within her family. She is survived by her son, John Nicholson (Amber Brown); her brother, Jerry Price (Phyllis); and two beloved grandchildren, Tanner Sigmon and Meleah Cook. They, along with many others, will cherish the moments spent with her and remember her love, kindness, and unwavering support.

Preceding her in death are her father, Jack Price; her mother, Mildred Wooten Price; her husband, Luther Souther; and her brother, Larry Price. Each of these relationships shaped Linda’s life and the memories they created will live on in the hearts of her family.

A graveside service to honor Linda will be held on April 12, 2025, at Iredell Memorial Park in Statesville, N.C., starting at 11 a.m. Friends and family are invited to gather to celebrate her life and the legacy she leaves behind.
