Margaret Blanche Hurlocker, 78, of Mooresville, N.C., peacefully went home to be with the Lord, plus every loved one she had been missing, on Friday, March 7, 2025.
She was born on October 27, 1946, in Statesville, N.C., to the late Ossie Alether Westmoreland Clark and John Chambers. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brother, Kenneth Mathis; her one true love, Wilson Rafeal Reyes; and a host of aunts, and uncles (Westmoreland family).
Those left to cherish Margaret’s memory are Chamber brothers and sisters; nieces and nephews, Lisa Dreama, Trell, Quentin, Sydney, Joshua, Destiny, Makaiyah, Rafael, Brilliant, Shamyuh, and Mook; niece-in-love, Barbie; daughters-in-love, Patrice and Shante Westmoreland; son-in-love, Antonio Westmoreland; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends from the Westmoreland and Chambers family. “I love you all so very much.” This includes the rest of the family, the cousins, aunts, uncles, great great nieces and nephews, friends and so many other loved ones! Never forget me! To know Margaret was to absolutely love and adore her. She was without a doubt a sunshine on the rainiest of days. Her kind spirit is one that could never be replaced. God definitely broke the mold when he made her. She was always overextending herself to anyone in need. Whether it was with food, clothes, money, or a prayer, if you needed her, she was there.
The most intelligent and strong woman that could be placed in the lives of those who loved her so much. She graduated high school and went on to attend college a numerous amount of times because she was never done learning. She would then share this knowledge she had soaked in with the hundreds if not thousands of peoples’ hearts she touched every single day. She was always on the move, living in places such as Baltimore, Md., and North Carolina. She definitely had a full life. A life of love, and God, and beautiful companionship. Her contagious laugh could be heard from miles away. Never failing to put a smile on anyone’s face. She was outgoing and such a fashion icon. She will be missed more than we could ever describe. There is no one on earth like this dynamite woman right here. Forever in our hearts and memories. We love you so much.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, March 17, 2025, at South Iredell AME Zion Church, 201 Winford Road, Troutman, NC 28166. Burial will follow the service in the church cemetery.
