Marion Catherine Stephenson Weber passed away peacefully of natural causes on March 5, 2025, in Cary, N.C., at the age of 92. Born on March 29, 1932, in Franklin Square, N.Y., Marion lived a life defined by unwavering dedication to her family, her faith, and her passions.

An alumna of Hempstead High School in New York, Marion was a devoted member of St. Philip the Apostle Catholic Church throughout her life. Her spiritual commitment was a guiding light not only in her personal journey but also in the lives of those she touched.

Marion worked as a Private Duty Environmental Services Specialist, a role through which she exemplified diligence and care, making a profound impact on her community. Beyond her professional life, she found joy and peace in her interests—sewing, needlepoint, and cherishing time with her beloved grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur C. Weber Jr., along with her sons, Arthur C. Weber Jr. and Timothy Weber. Her legacy of love and resilience continues through her surviving family, including her daughters, Alison Vasco (Donald) of Selden, N.Y.; Catherine “Kitty” Pape (John) of Cary, N.C.; Marion “Muffet” Weber of Marietta, Ga.; and Maria McNeely (David) of Stony Point, N.C.; and sons Daniel Weber (Lynda) of Forestville, N.Y., Paul Weber (Dianne) of Harmony, N.C., Adam Weber (Jennifer) of Statesville, N.C., Matthew Weber (Monica) of Statesville, N.C., and Patrick Weber of Marietta, Ga. She is also survived by her cherished sister, Caryl Mary Mason (John) of Bayville, N.Y.

Marion’s legacy extends to her 25 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild, each of whom carry forward the warmth and wisdom she imparted.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 11, 2025, from 2 to 4 p.m. at Nicholson Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass is scheduled for Wednesday, March 12, 2025, at 11 a.m. at St. Philip the Apostle Catholic Church, 525 Camden Drive, Statesville, NC 28677, followed by interment at Iredell Memorial Park.

Marion’s life was a tapestry of love and grace, woven with strength and compassion. Her spirit will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing her. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness and devotion that will resonate for generations to come.
