Marshall Ted Fulbright, 71, of Taylorsville, N.C., peacefully transitioned to his heavenly home on Friday, March 21, 2025, from his residence.

Marshall was born March 16, 1954, in Buncombe County, N.C., the son of the late Wilburn Ted Fulbright and Velma Beaver Fulbright.

Marshall worked as a professional truck driver for 50 years driving safely for millions of miles. He was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Conover, where he previously served as a deacon, on the finance committee, and as a Sunday school teacher. He loved reading his Bible and talking to people about Jesus. He was an example of Christ-like love for everyone he met. He loved boats and antique cars, especially Corvettes. He never met a stranger and enjoyed listening to Bluegrass music. He loved his wife, daughter and son-in-law very much.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Camilla Mitchell; brothers, Edmond Pressley, and Bobby Pressley; and father-in-law, Charles Mack Wike.

Those left to cherish and honor Marshall’s memories include his wife of 44 years, Julie Wike Fulbright; his daughter, Erin Church (Matt) of the Bethlehem Community; his sister, Jane Wilhide of Pennsylvania; his mother-in-law, Annie Ruth Wike; his grand-dogs, Vincent and Darla; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and many dear friends.

The funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. on Friday, March 28, 2025, at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Conover. Pastor Brian Correll, and Pastor Larry Blakely will officiate. Burial will be in the Millersville Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 1 until 2:45 p.m. prior to the church service.
