Martha “Avie” Yvonne Troutman, 85, of Mooresville, N.C., passed away on Saturday, April 5, 2025. She was born on January 10, 1940, in Iredell County to the late Ernest and Maude “Peggy” McGuinness Troutman.

Avie worked for Superba Print Works in Mooresville. She enjoyed traveling with her friends all over America and even to London. Avie belonged to a bowling team, where she enjoyed many friendships along the way. She enjoyed crossword puzzles and taking her chances with scratch-off tickets. Avie was a loving caregiver and loved her family very much. She will be greatly missed.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by sister, Pat Troutman; brothers, Michael Ernest Troutman, and Joseph “Joe” Sydney Troutman; sister-in-law, Peggy Parker Troutman; and K9 Lucy, whom she loved dearly.

Those left to cherish Avie’s memory are her nieces, Tamara Stroud (Chad) and Susan Lytle; great nieces and nephews, Clint Lytle, Lauren Brown, and Shannon Vandell (Luke); and great-great nieces and nephews, Winston, Evelyn and Owen Vandell.

A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, April 13, 2025, at Glenwood Memorial Park, Mooresville.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to S. Mitchell Mack Hospice House, 1325 Mecklenburg Hwy., Mooresville, NC 28115.
