Patricia Faye Clary Jones passed away on February 27, 2025. She was a Mooresville native of a great many generations that also resided here. She was born on April 2, 1943. She was the daughter of the late William Graham Clary and Della Fesperman Clary. She lived most of her life in Mooresville with her late husband of 56 years, James Harold Jones. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Betty Clary Newman (Worth). She is survived by her son, Harold Wayne Jones; daughter, Karen Jones Thomas (Martin); her beloved grandsons, Ryan and Brandon Thomas; sister, Joyce Weddington; sister, Iris Lowrance; and brother, Joe Clary (Jerry).

She became a beautician as a young woman. Her life then became focused on being an amazing Mom! Later on, she became part of starting two very successful family businesses (the well-known Jones 1109 grocery and deli on Highway 21 and later the Jones Farmstead Garden and Nursery on Brawley School Road).

She was an avid reader and always had some level of a library in the house. When she had nothing else to read that interested her, she would literally read a volume of one of the encyclopedias in her never-ending craving for knowledge. She did not like to travel far and barely ventured from Mooresville in her lifetime, but she traveled the world through her books!

She was amazingly gifted artistically and could draw amazing creations. She loved being a Mom and sharing and teaching her ability to express talents within them, and she taught them first and foremost how to be good, kind, and compassionate people. She also had a deeply quiet, but wicked funny sense of humor which she also passed on to her children. Her biggest pride and joy were her two grandsons that she was very deeply proud of!!!
