Steven Alan Ramsay passed away on Wednesday, February 26, 2025, at his home in Mooresville, N.C., surrounded by his loving wife Jane, and sister, Leslie. He was born on July 25, 1953, in Sheridan, Wyo.

Steven was preceded in death by his mother, Gloria Joyce Ramsay, and his father, Douglas A. Ramsay, both of Denver, Colo.

Steven never knew a stranger and was comfortable speaking with anyone at any time. He was a voracious reader and in constant search for as much knowledge on any topic as he could garner.

Steven loved to laugh but, more importantly, he made everyone around him laugh.

He had a wonderful and at times dry sense of humor. One of his friends once said that you always knew when you were at the Ramsay house because your stomach would be hurting from all the laughter.

Steven will be remembered as a devoted and loving husband and a treasure of a brother. A finer friend could not be found.

A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, March 7, 2025, at Salisbury National Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 p.m. on Thursday, March 6, 2025, at Cavin-Cook Funeral Home.

The family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to all the hospice nurses, physicians and staff for their compassionate and supportive care that was provided.
