It is with very heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Tony Carroll Trivette. Born March 7, 1958, he was an ever-loving father, Pop-Pop, brother, uncle, son, and friend. Tony took his final walk here on Earth on Sunday, March 23, 2025. While we are still trying to figure out how to live without him, we know he was welcomed into Heaven with open arms and the biggest of hugs by his parents Marie and Thomas Trivette, as well as numerous family and friends who adored him.

Tony loved many things in life, but nothing more than his family. He was the proudest father to George Trivette and daughter-in-law Sierra Trivette; but nothing could bring more joy to his heart and soul than his granddaughter Rielynn Trivette. He was a loving brother to Dale (Kay) Trivette, a wonderful uncle to Wendy (Danny) Fusco, and the best “aunt” to Abigail and Madelyn. He also had great love for his dog, Lucky, who always got the best bite of steak from Tony’s dinner. Above all else in life, he loved his family and his friends.

Tony had a deep passion for vacations and traveling, fishing, football (Go Panthers), college basketball (Go Tar Heels), reading the newspaper and magazines (and takeout menus), and most of all, food. If Tony wasn’t working, he wanted to go on vacation, his favorites being the beach and the mountains. Sometimes vacations didn’t have to be very far away as his leg pain made travel more difficult later in life. Any time you were more than 30 minutes away from his house, he would look over at his son George and say “I’m on vacation!.” He never missed a Panthers or Tar Heels game and always jumped at the opportunity to watch the game with his son. Magazines and the newspapers were his reading pleasures. He truly needed to know everything that was going on in the world around him and couldn’t wait to share that information with anyone who would listen. Most of all, Tony loved food. Before he finished one meal, he would be thinking about the next. A delicious plate of food made him the happiest man on earth. We’re fairly certain that he is in Heaven finishing every meal with a triple stacked ice cream cone with heavenly rich flavors.

Let’s not forget Tony’s other passion, and something for which he was incredibly proud: 49 years of dedication to Acme Metal Products. He was truly the shining star of Acme: the humble and always smiling Plant Supervisor to a team of men and women for whom he truly cared for and loved. It was more than work for him, it was his second family. His humor, generosity, and infectious grin kept the plant going.

Tony never met a stranger. He was blessed with a gift of child-like innocence and happiness. He believed the best in everyone, loved everyone, and was everyone’s happy place. If you knew Tony then you loved him, and that’s exactly the incredible spirit that we will remember. His presence will be missed beyond words, but his memory will be kept alive by the example he set and lessons he instilled by loving endlessly.
