Viola Sharpe Daniels, 95, passed away Thursday, February 20, 2025.

Viola was born in Iredell County on May 24, 1929, to the late Charles Sharpe and Catherine Bell Sharpe. She married her true love, Grady Daniels, on October 23, 1948. They were together 71 years until his passing in 2019. Together they owned D&D Trucking and raised two beautiful daughters, Trudy and Sandra. Viola was a long-time member of Hams Grove Baptist Church. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed cooking for her family and sewing. Voila also enjoyed being outdoors tending to her flower garden with tulips being her favorite.

Viola was preceded is death by her parents, Charles and Catherine Sharpe; her husband Grady Daniels; daughters, Trudy Kay Horton and Sandra Daniels; brothers Charles and Albert; and sister Catherine

Left to cherish her memory are her granddaughters, Crystal Daniels (Todd Benfield), Tonia Horton (Quentin Anderson), Tracy McClain and Tamara Hubbard; brother, Lonnie Sharpe; sister, Peggy Sharpe; six great grandchildren; and six great great grandchildren.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the Gordon Hospice House.

The family will hold a private service.

In lieu of flowers the family ask that donations be made to Gordon Hospice House.
