Franklin Von Turner passed away on Wednesday, February 12, 2025.

Von was born on September 26, 1953, in Statesville, N.C., to the late Franklin Edward Turner and Ora Lee York Turner. He graduated from North Iredell High School in 1971.

On December 19, 1971, he married his high school sweetheart, Glenda Eidson Turner.

Surviving, in addition to his wife Glenda, are his daughter, Jennifer Turner Eshleman (Brian) of Winston-Salem; his son, John Turner (Jessica) of The Colony, Texas; his granddaughter, Sydel of The Colony, Texas; a very special adopted sister, Bonnie Grigsby (Bobby) of Mocksville; and his beloved dog, Benji.

He also has two grandchildren in Heaven, along with his beloved dog, Bella.

He was a member of Jericho Church of Christ, Mocksville, N.C.. He enjoyed volunteering at Carolina Bible Camp during the annual Bluegrass Festival. He was a Route Sales Representative for around 40 years with many companies in the Statesville and Hickory area. Most recently, before his retirement in September 2019, he worked for Utz Quality Foods. He met many people he would call friends during this time. He was formerly employed part time by Banner Drug as a delivery driver. He was a member of Cool Springs Volunteer Fire Department, first serving as a volunteer firefighter and serving on the Board of Directors for a total of 30 years.

A Celebration of Life service will be held Friday, February 14, at 2 p.m. at Jericho Church of Christ, Mocksville, officiated by Jack Lipsey and Tom Torpy. Burial will be held at a later date in the church cemetery columbarium.
