Wabel Vanessa Heaggans Crenshaw, 69, of 306 Ardmore Circle, NW, Unit D108, Atlanta, Ga., passed away at Piedmont Atlanta Hospital on March 3, 2025, following an extended illness. She was born on February 9, 1956, and was the daughter of the late Annie Heaggans Wilson

She was a graduate of South Iredell High School and received her Bachelor of Education from Winston-Salem State University in Winston-Salem. Prior to her retirement, she was employed by the Department of Defense as a Teacher.

She is survived by one son, Quinton Crenshaw of the home; and a host of siblings, other relatives and friends.

Celebration of Life Services will be conducted Wednesday, March 12, 2025, at South Iredell AME Zion Church in Troutman at 3 p.m. Members of the family will receive friends at the church from 2 until 3 p.m., but will assemble at the residence of her niece, Chouteau Sharpe, 395 Silver Creek Trail, Kernersville, NC 27284, at other times.
