After Perdue he began his long career of roofing for 37 years. He retired from JMS Roofing and enjoyed spending his mornings eating breakfast with his buddies at the RX Pharmacy. Wayne had a strong faith in God and loved listening to gospel music and preaching while sitting in his recliner. Wayne never met a stranger and appreciated the search for a good bargain. Wayne always had the ability to light up the room, but the thing he enjoyed the most was making sure everyone knew he was right.
