Willis “Billy” Watson Jr., 70, of Taylorsville, N.C., passed away on Monday, January 20, 2025, at Iredell Memorial Hospital. He was born December 5, 1954, in Iredell County, the son of the late Willis Samuel Watson Sr. and Marie Fortner Watson.

Billy had worked as a truck driver at M.D.I for 20-plus years. He was a very dedicated and hard worker. He enjoyed riding motorcycles in his younger years.

Those left to honor and cherish his memories include his daughter, Jessica Blevins (Eric); his son, Will Watson (Amanda); his grandchildren, Elsie Blevins, Samuel Watson, Bryson Watson, and Silas Watson; a brother, Mike Watson (Jan); and a niece, a nephew, cousins and friends.

A private service will be held at later date.
