District Attorney Sarah Kirkman’s Office announced that the following cases were disposed of during the February 14 session of H & I Felony District Court:
♦ Mark Absher pleaded guilty to Felony Possession of Methamphetamine and was sentenced to 4 to 14 months in prison.
♦ Tarrie Aiken pleaded guilty to nine counts of Felony Larceny After Breaking or Entering and was sentenced to five consecutive suspended sentences of 7 to 18 months.
♦ Cameron Aldridge pleaded guilty to Felony Possession of Methamphetamine and two counts of Misdemeanor Possession of Stolen Goods and was sentenced to 10 to 21 months suspended, plus 45 days in jail on the misdemeanors.
♦ Sean Allen pleaded guilty pursuant to Alford to Felony Possession of Stolen Motor Vehicle, Felony Possession of Firearm While Under a Domestic Violence Protective Order and Felony Possession of Methamphetamine and was sentenced to 8 to 19 months suspended.
♦ Jarnell Bailey pleaded guilty to Possession with Intent to Sell or Deliver MDA/MDMA and was sentenced to 10 to 21 months suspended.
♦ Timothy Becker pleaded guilty to Felony Possession of Methamphetamine and was sentenced to 5 to 15 months suspended with an active split sentence of 57 days in jail.
♦ Timothy Chapman pleaded guilty to Felony Possession of Controlled Substance in Jail/Prison, Felony Breaking or Entering Motor Vehicle and Misdemeanor Larceny and was sentenced to two consecutive suspended sentences of 11 to 23 months, with an active split sentence of 30 days in jail. In addition, his 120-day probation sentence was revoked and that sentence was placed into effect.
♦ Robert Davis pleaded guilty to Felony Possession of Schedule II Controlled Substance and was sentenced to 9 to 20 months suspended.
♦ Damigeo Glaspy pleaded guilty to two counts of Felony Larceny of Chose in Action and was sentenced to two consecutive suspended sentences of 15 to 29 months suspended with an active split sentence of 60 days in jail.
♦ Julian Jones pleaded guilty to Felony Possession of Schedule II Controlled Substance and was sentenced to 6 to 17 months suspended.
♦ Johnny London pleaded guilty to Felony Possession of Cocaine and was sentenced to 8 to 19 months suspended.
♦ Tommy McCray pleaded guilty to Felony Larceny and was sentenced to 10 to 21 months suspended.
♦ Alonzo Parker pleaded guilty to Felony Possession of Marijuana and was sentenced to 10 to 21 months suspended.
♦ Douglas Pegram pleaded guilty to Felony Possession of Heroin and was sentenced to 6 to 17 months suspended.
♦ Terry Herman pleaded guilty to Felony Larceny of Motor Vehicle, Felony Larceny and Felony Breaking or Entering and was sentenced to two consecutive sentences of 17 to 30 months in prison.
♦ Jason Tomlinson pleaded guilty to Felony Possession of Methamphetamine and was sentenced to 8 to 19 months suspended with an active split sentence of 30 days in jail.
♦ Cordell Varner pleaded guilty to Felony Possession of Stolen Firearm, Felony Possession of Marijuana, Misdemeanor Possession of Stolen Goods, Contributing to the Delinquency of Juvenile and Carrying a Concealed Weapon and was sentenced to 8 to 19 months plus 6 to 17 months suspended, with an active split sentence of four days in jail.
Why are we even arresting these people? The judges are just giving out suspended sentences like they are candy.
