Robert “Bobby” Miller Griffith Jr., 59, of Charlotte, N.C., passed away on Thursday, April 18, 2024. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Miller Griffith Sr and Mary Jane Griffith of Charlotte, N.C.

Bobby was born on June 29, 1964, in Charlotte. He was a graduate of Olympic High School and studied at UNC Charlotte. Bobby worked for Trane for many years as a plant supervisor. After retirement, he opened Bankers Raw Oyster Bar, which contributed to multiple charity events. Bobby loved life and loved his family most of all. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and was so proud of his son Shane Michael Griffith when he joined to serve his country. He loved spending time with his grandson, Shane Michael Griffith Jr. Bobby enjoyed golfing, watching football and spending time with his buddies at the beach. Bobby was loved by all who knew him.

Bobby’s family would like to thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers. Bobby enjoyed having friends and family come by and drop off treats, and he loved his Frittle candy. The recent days have been very difficult for all of us, but we know he is no longer in pain and suffering. We encourage you all to remember the good times you shared with him.

Celebration of life will be held at West Franklin Spirit of Life Church at 450 S Myrtle School Road, Gastonia, NC 28052 on Saturday April 27, 2024, at 11 a.m. and reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Lake Norman, 705 Griffith St, Suite 203, Davidson, NC 28036.
